At Concordia, I had been given many opportunities to lead. From being a Team Captain on the track team, being a Resident Assistant, leading my trombone section in jazz band and pep band I would consider myself a seasoned leader. As an athlete and Team Captain, I led the sprint group and other teammates through workouts. As a Resident Assistant I had the unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of my residents. I also had the opportunity to be a crucial part of the Bulldog community.
In High School, I was looked upon as one of the main leaders in the school. I came up with the idea of a trophy case to demonstrate the success the school has had. This project turned into a 40 foot long, $10,000+ trophy case in the entrance of the school. I was the only student working with administration on this project. As a natural leader I am excited to continue using my gifts to benefit those around me.
