2020-Present
- Centralia Public Schools – I teach algebra 1 at Chester Boren Middle School and algebra 1 and pre-algebra at Centralia High School. I am the head middle school cross country and head boys track coach.
2019-2020
- Friend Public School – I taught 7th grade and 9th grade math. I also taught K-8th grade technology and library courses while having developed curriculum for those students. I coached assistant high school boys basketball. My other responsibilities were Striv which broadcasts school events (sports, musicals, graduation, concerts, etc) on a livestream.
2017-2018
- People’s City Mission – September 12-December 5 (Every Tuesday): Volunteered at the Homeless Shelter in Lincoln, NE and worked with kids ages 5-12 while teaching short lessons, leading crafts, and playing games.
- Seward High School/Practicum – Jan 20-Feb (Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday): Shadowed Tom Tvrdy (History/Social Studies) and led class activities/review games which include ZONK!
- Erie High School/Pre-Clinical – (March 5th, 6th, & 7th): Taught 2 sections of Algebra 1 for Mrs. Williams which covered how to multiply monomials and polynomials. Also tutored students during study hall.
2016-2017
- His Kids Camp – September 30-October 2, 2016: Went to Camp Luther and worked with campers who had disabilities. Involved in many different activities such as kickball, archery, scavenger hunt, movie night, pumpkin carving, and more camp related games.
- Erie High School – Observed Matt Hicks (math) while grading papers and interacting with students.
2015-2016
- Seward High School Tutoring – March 15-April 26, 2016 (Tuesdays): Tutored High School students in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Seward Middle School – January 21-March 17, 2016 (Tuesdays & Thursdays): Classroom aid and led bellringers.
Teacher Shadow Days:
- Erie High School – March 8, 2016: Observed Mr. Hicks for the day and coached sprinters doing block starts at practice.
- Christ Lutheran School – October 16, 2015: Observed Gary Weber, Mrs. Johnson, and Miss S. and taught a probability lesson.
2013-2019
- Summer Camp Counselor/Lead – Work with 5-7 year old kids in group and individual settings. I lead games, activities, and groups in many settings such as the playground, gym, cafeteria, art room, pool, rock wall, and on field trips.
