When a campfire gives off heat in multiple modes, those being convection, conduction, and radiation. Each one of these has different levels of heat that are possessed. The least amount of heat that is emitted is conduction. With conduction, the air is the conductor, which means that there are not many conductive heat transfers. Another is convection, the heat goes up and towards you but never is able to reach you. Lastly, radiation. This mode warms you because of the thermal radiation. This travels up to parts of your body that is facing the fire, it warms it. This means that the backside of your body will not be reached by the thermal radiation.
When aluminum foil heats up in the oven it is not like most things we put in our ovens. It is because of its low heat index. It heats and cools rapidly so it doesn’t hold heat as much as something else you would put in the oven.
It is because of thermal radiation, this increases the temp in the car and makes it that much hotter. Conduction transfers the heat from outside of the car to the inside of it, most of this energy is transferred through the glass windows and then is absorbed in the inside interior. When you have a dark interior, it will change the heat that is absorbed into the inner part. The energy that is transferred from the inside of the car during conduction, it is a process of convection beginning. While the air goes over the surfaces inside of the car, the air is then warmed.
