Philosophy of Education

I believe that students should be active participants in learning, because students learn best by participating in relevant and purposeful activities.

I believe that social interaction and group work between students is important, because students gain knowledge from their peers.

I believe that the Holy Spirit works through me to share the gospel and love of Jesus with my students.

I believe it is important to include all cultures into my classroom, and encourage students to talk about and explore their differences.

I believe that preschool students should be free to explore the world around them, because their natural curiosity for the world is an important tool for creating the building blocks of education.

I believe that every child should feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment, because students will be more able to learn when they feel secure.

I believe that education should serve students in every possible way and that students should be taught to become life long learners.

I believe that every child has the ability to learn, and the right to an equal education no matter the race, gender, ethnicity, or mental competence.

I believe that students with disabilities should be included in classrooms of their peers as much as possible. As an educator I plan to work with special education teachers together as a team to provide the best educational experience for all students.

I believe that a teacher should start everyday with a smile, and be excited and passionate about learning, because a teachers enthusiasm will increase the students passion for learning.
