Musicianship

I believe that performance is a large part of music education. Performing helps students experience music on a different and engaging level. Music is my passion, and I have been performing as long as I can remember.  Every semester at Concordia, I performed in student recitals and was selected four times to perform in the student Honor Recital. In October 2016, I competed in the National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS) Student Auditions. I received first place in my division! The following recordings are me singing “Ain’t it a Pretty Night” from Carlisle Floyd’s opera “Susannah” and “Le Colibri” by Ernest Chausson. I sang the Chausson at a student recital in 2016 and I performed the Floyd at the Student Honor Recital in the Spring of 2018.
