Unit 4 Links

Here are my unit 4 links!
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eizsm5V8c_c

This first link is to a video that further explains the processes and purposes of conduction, convection, and radiation, and gives examples of each.

2. https://www.lorecentral.org/2018/11/10-examples-of-conduction-convection-and-radiation.html

This website was helpful giving more real-life examples of the three forms of heat transfer. That is the point of the class, after all, is to kind of see how these scientific happenings look in everyday life.

3. https://studiousguy.com/examples-radiation-everyday-life/

This site focused on radiation specifically, giving more examples from life that we see around us and how it uses radiation. One of the most surprising ones to me, or just one I hadn’t thought about, was Television.

4. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/03/science/cars-energy-greenhouse-effect.html

This fourth link is to a New York Times article explaining why the interior of a car gets so hot especially in the summertime in the heat of the day. It uses the term “Greenhouse Effect” which wasn’t mentioned in the lecture much but was explained in greater detail here. It was also an article that explained the danger of this happening if you have a dog or a child left in the car and sought to educate people on how to be more careful about it.
