Unit 6 Links
Here are my links for unit 6!
1.https://www.sciencelearn.org.nz/resources/1154-icebergs
This first website dives deeper into the intricacies and details of icebergs as they exist above and below the surface of the water. It explained how seawater is denser than ice, so that causes the icebergs to float with the majority of their mass underwater.
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROXYr_SzNW4
This second link is to a youtube video that unpacks an experiment similar to those we talked about in class, using measured water displacement to test for the density of an object.
3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMlXU97E-uQ
This third link is a video explaining buoyancy in relation to ships, various small objects, and included an interesting fact about why submarines can float: because a part of the sub fills with water in order to equalize the density between the water and the boat.
4.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHbKOr1wurI
This final video is an instructional video on how to swim, and how to use your body’s natural buoyancy in your favor while trying to get around, or just relax and float.
